Tomorrowland: Teaser Trailer

Tomorrowland: Teaser Trailer :: Ribbons Down My Back

For the last couple years this movie called Tomorrowland has been a big mystery for Disney fans. Other than the name and that Brad Bird would be directing it, no details had been released. Now we finally have a small glimpse, as Disney just released the first teaser trailer last week and now I'm itching to see more!

What do you think of the trailer?

Modern Minnie | Outfit

Modern Minnie | Ribbons Down My Back
You all know how much I love Disney, so for my birthday today I decided dress with a Minnie Mouse flare. Since discovering the Disney Style Blog I've been inspired to get more creative when wearing my Disney tees and this is my first attempt.
I went with a modern take on my favorite mouse. The black and red has a very Minnie vibe and all ties into the tee. The denim skirt is a recent find that I'm loving.

10 Things To Do When You Miss Disneyland

Recently I've really had the Disney itch. I always have it to some degree, but then I'll hit a phase (usually after watching too many Mad Hatter videos on YouTube) and *BAM* all I can do is eat, sleep, and dream Disney. Right now is one of those times.

Five plus years is too long between trips to The Happiest Place on Earth, so coming up with a way to get my Disney fix at home required. That's when I was inspired to create a list of things do when you're missing Disneyland. So without further adeu I present:

Disney's 'Frozen' Headed to Broadway

That's right folks, Disney's latest hit, Frozen, is headed to the Big Apple.

Disney's 'Frozen' Headed to Broadway | Ribbons Down My Back

The fact that they've decided so soon to turn Frozen it into a musical surprised me, but adapting it for the stage is not a big shocker for me. In my opinion Frozen had Broadway written all over it.

No time frame has been set for this adaption yet and Walt Disney CEO says "We're not demanding speed. We're demanding excellence". We've got a few years at least before this favorite hits the stage.

But the big question is, who will be cast in the leading roles? Since several of the actors are already Broadway stars it will interesting to see if they try and keep the cast close to the original or go for something completely new.

So, what do you think? And who would you like to see cast in the lead roles?

A Whole New World Coming to Broadway

You all know how I love Disney, but what you probably don't know is that Aladdin is my favorite Disney animated film. Even though it wasn't one of the movies I watched over and over and over again (Toy Story 2 wins for most watched movie in our house), it's always been a favorite of mine. I thing it's mostly to do with the songs. They're really catchy.

Because of that, I'm super duper excited that they're turning it into a Broadway musical.

Disney Memories

I've had this blog for two months now, yet I haven't posted a thing about one of my favorite topics: Disney.

Ever since I can remember I've liked Disney. When I was little my favorite video tape was The Jungle Book, which I called the "bare necessities". My dad bought several of the original Mickey Mouse cartoons when they released them on DVD, which my sisters and I watched a lot. For my 13th birthday I planned a Mickey Mouse/Disney themed party, including a giant Mickey head cake that used four cake boxes and had mini chocolate chips on the sides.

And those few things just scratch the surface of my fascination with it. The parks, movies, cartoons, the store. I love it all.

If fact it's not just me with a fascination for it, but my whole family. Tiana was obsessed with anything princess when she was little, but especially with Snow White, her favorite princess. Alina and Daniel both love The Lion King more than any other Disney film. And since my dad's always been a big Disneyland fan, it's because of him that we started going to Disneyland.

Disney is just something that I never grew out of and I doubt I ever will. Even now at nearly twenty-years-old (*gasp* When did that happen?!?!) I enjoy it just as much as when I was younger. If fact, I think it's safe to say I love it even more. Just as my mom, she can vouch for acting as excited as a four-year-old every time I go in the Disney Store. There's lots of squealing and hugging Mickey Mouse plushiest involved.

Anyways, all this is to say I'm working on writing a lot more Disney related posts, and since I'll likely refer to past trips, I thought it would be a good idea to give a short little summary of each trip so you hopefully won't feel lost. Let's start from the latest trip and go backwards...
