To Granville Island We Go! - A Vancouver, BC Trip Report | Part III

When I last left off, we were at Stanley Park. It was starting to get dark and we were hungry, so we decided to drive across town to Aphrodite's Cafe for dinner. I'll leave the details for the review I'll be writing soon. Just know this: the food was amazing. Especially the gluten-free and vegan pie.

After dinner we decided to head to our hotel, as we were all pretty exhausted from our long day. We were able to get an amazing deal on two rooms at Travelodge Lionsgate, which was just across Lionsgate Bridge. They were very basic and simple rooms, which we perfect for the one night we stayed there.

We spent the evening uploading photos to Facebook, watching classic TV shows, and calling each others rooms on the hotel phone. It was fun!

For breakfast we went downtown to Smak. It's basically a gluten-free fast food place, and they have some delicious breakfast foods! Again, I'll be doing a review soon, so all the details will be there.

After a yummy breakfast and browsing a gift shop, we went to Grainville Island. It's basically an area filled with all sorts of shops and such, along with a huge market.

The market was my favorite part, though. It's a bit like Pike's Place Market here in Seattle, but a lot nicer. Personally, Pike's Place kinda creeps me out, but this place was such an enjoyable experience! There were many vendors selling all sorts of foods, along with ones selling handmade goods. It was such a cool place!

I bought this soap from the owner of Cascadia Soaps. It's made with manuka honey and is supposed to be really good for the face. I've had lots of skin issues on my face and decided to give it a go and I'm really pleased with it!
